Access to these areas is available from many location points, including the city centre. These parks are very popular with office workers and families alike. A great way to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, relax and enjoy the wildlife.

Central Park has the following areas:

  • Central Park Main
  • Central Park North
  • Central Park West
  • Bell Meadow
  • Sky Blue Pasture
  • Memorial Gardens
  • Marconi Ponds local nature reserve

Local footpath and cycle networks link all these areas.

There are many varied interesting things to do and see, including:

  • adiZone multiuse sports area
  • colourful planting schemes
  • riverside walks
  • children’s play areas
  • swans on the lake
  • plentiful picnic tables and benches throughout the parks

We have a number of fitness classes running at Central Park.

Along Meteor Way, adjacent to Central Park, is the Chelmsford Miniature Railway. This is well worth a visit for the family.
