Big kids or mini grown ups?

Am I the ony one with big kids? lol
I have Josh 9 and Callum 11. Callum has just started secondary school and is really enjoying it

It must be odd at times having such a wide age range with your boys Jennie - from not even at preschool to starting secondary school!

It can be a bit odd, especially trying to arrange days out and things to do. But I love having a big family They all get along so well together, and the bigger boys really help with the little ones.
It can be hard trying to organise them all and remember everything. With one in secondary, one in juniors, one in infants and one in preschool there are so many things for me to forget lol. And with clubs and social lives to plan it's all just so busy lol. But I wouldnt have it any other way now x

Hiya. My name is Vicki. I've just posted int the newbie section. I have Jake who is 9 and Cian who is 5. I've been married for 10 years. Cian is a little monster and Jake thinks he knows everything about everything at 9 lol! Wouldn't be without them for the world they certainly keep me busy!!!

I definitely have a big kid. Ashleigh will be 12 in April and loves playing with Sophie's toys! She is a complete loony and randomly comes out with things that really make me laugh whilst wondering where on earth they came from lol. She started secondary school in September and loved it to start with but recently has been very emotional, crying and saying she doesn't want to go to school as it means being away from me and her home. She insists there is nothing going on at school that uspets her and as we are very close and she has never kept anything from me before, I am inclined to believe her. I think it is probably just her hormones as she is pretty much right in the middle of puberty at the moment, but it is all very worrying and upsetting, really don't like seeing her like that.

Edie started at secondary school in september and loves it she said its Awesome.
Shes in top set for everything and loves drama and art.
Shes going through a little bit of a stroppy easily irratated stage with her younger brother Ted who has an amazing ability to annoy her.
She loves her friends and is allowed to the park and town with them. Shes 12 next month and very sensible.
Shes not very good at tidying up after herself but she does make us a nice cuppa in bed!!!

What school does she go to Rachel? Ha, I remember how irritating I found my brother at that age!

Shoeburyness. It worked out exactly as i thought would be better for her. She took her 11+ and put southend as first because thats what her mum was saying was best for her and then shoebury and she didn't pass but got well close and the school said appeal but she said she wanted to go to shoebury and her mum tried to persuade her to change her mind but she stood her ground and Shoebury is def the best for her. She loves Dance and Drama and is already practising for a show in November.

Funny how little brothers are annoying when you start to get older. Abigail is like a mini grown up she wants to wear make up and have a mobile phone and even tries to be sexy i.e dancing which I don't like, she'll be in year 5 this year and senior school is fast approaching in a few years. scary!!!

Cant believe Josh turns double figures soon, where has the time gone?
He is no longer 'my little boy', but more of a Jekyll and hyde character - not loving the pre-teens.
Josh still loves to play the guitar, although we have a bit of a 'Kevin' reaction when I ask him to do it / or do anything - but he will do it eventually.

Hes off for his 1st activity trip with school and will be gone from Monday morning to Thursday afternoon, I think I am far more anxious than he is
