I know, it's amazing really isn't it? They'll be totally embarrassed when they're all in their teens and we're still discussing them!

I think it will be strange when our kids start posting on here when they become parents and we will be the grandparents lol - how very scary lol

Shoelaces? When did your child learn?

William doesn't have any shoes with laces and he asked once to learn and we tried but he is very clumsy with his fingers and found it too hard.

Only asking out of interest - no need to make it a competition or anything but honestly just wondering. I know at the beginning of September - only one child in William's class could tie them - so I really am just interested.

Mine can but I forgot to teach them as like you they have Velcro and buckle. They were 6 or 7 which seems to be pretty average amongst all their friends.

yeah - I think a lot of people teach it as a 'getting ready for juniors' thing so 6/7 is pretty average

Felix can't tie them and based on their button abilities, I reckon iris will probably do it before him!

Can't believe Jacks soon to be 8. Just over a month.
He's doing us proud that's for sure. He is our lil brain. They are challenging him at school nicely
His maths group was set some questions the other day and they marked them and they graded him at a 4c. Not bad for a few months in to Year 3 :) x

Alexa is now 7. She loves her writing and reading still and is still very creative. Plays the recorder but wants to learn the piano.
Still a confident opinionated little girl with hair past her bum still. ;)

Felix just turned 7 too and is like a walking encyclopaedia at the moment. Think he's going to be as good at pub quizzes as Kester in a few years!
