Hi Everyone,

I am a SAHM of 2 kids, R (3) & E (2). I set up the 'Witham Yummy Mummy Group' on Facebook when R was born just as a way of making some new Mummy friends as I knew no-one. I moved to Witham a year previously but commuted to work every day!

That was nearly 4 years ago and the group has gone from strength to strength with now having 420+ members. It's near enough a full time job making sure everyone sticks to the rules of no private selling and updating it all the time with info I come across whilst out and about. It's main function is to offer information and advice to the Mums (& Dads) of Witham and the surrounding areas. Along with my Yummy Mummy friends we debate, ask questions, offer parenting advice, meet for coffee (& picnics if the weather is nice), go on the occasional night out and list as much information as possible about whats on in and around not just Witham but further afield now. Most recently I had an overwhelming surge of requests for Childminding information and had to set up various 'Files' which are growing weekly. I am incredibly proud of my group and the essential information it provides the parents of Witham. If you haven't come across it yet, it's worth checking it out even if you're not from Witham.

My most recent venture is my Blog 'The Adventures of the Bubblegum Mum'. I haven't been doing it long but I talk about real family issues, some quite controversial.

My most proud moment recently was getting my article on 'Formula Feeding' published here on the Essex Mums website. I was rubbish at English at school and only got a grade D in my GCSE's but somewhere in me there is a writer I never knew about and it's opening up new opportunities for me all the time.
