Hello - Newbie from braintree

#1 Unread post by Ruby » Wed Jan 05, 2011 12:28 am

Hi everyone!

Im moving to Braintree in just under 2 weeks with my 11 yo daughter, and am hoping to meet some mums with children of similar ages.

Im 41 (eek!) and have 2 daughters aged 17 and 11, and a step-daughter aged 6. My partner already lives there, and we are moving down to start a new life together, which is both very exciting but slightly scary too as I dont know anyone there!

Im not really sure what else to say, except hope to chat soon

Ruby

Hi Ruby,

How exciting! Where are you moving from? There are a few people from Braintree on here, though I'm in Westcliff myself. I'm Louise, I'm 32 and have two kids, Felix who is 3 and Iris who is 20 months. We're currently trying for a third too.

Hi Ruby! Wow! How exciting! Where are you moving from? Are your daughters excited or a bit apprehensive? I have never really moved in my life - still live within a mile of my first and second home.

I'm Jenny, not from Braintree but just wanted to say Hi!

HI Louise and Jenny :)

Im moving from the far north of Scotland! So life for us will be very different when we move! Shops!!! And being able to visit Marks Hall on a regular basis :)

Ive read a number of posts and realise that Im an old lady compared to most of you ;)

I enjoy walking, reading, cooking, family time and am currently studying a law degree. I notice that in your events page you have listed a Heart and Sole walk, does anyone from Braintree go to this?

Hi Ruby and welcome to the site.

I am Gina, 37, mum to Mia who is 5 and we live in Westcliff.

Am sure Charlotte lives out your way and has a daughter about the same age, just trying to remember her sign in name on here grrrrr. (Sorry memory is pants).

Hello Ruby,

I live in Braintree too, about 5 mins from town luckily for me.Bocking is lovely, I got married at St Mary's church. Anyway, I'm Charlotte, 35, married to Martin and mum to Poppy age 5 and Ben 5 months. I've posted on the meet up thread. As Louise said there are a few Braintree mums on here now.
