#1 Unread post by Jade13 » Thu Jan 10, 2013 12:17 pm

Hello

I am new to this site so hope I am posting correctly.

I am due to have my baby at St peters in maldon and just wondered whether anybody could tell me there experiences on this maternity unit as I don't know anybody who has used this hospital.

Thanks :-)
Jade

Hi there Jade,

Firstly, welcome to the site :)

Although I've not had a baby at St Peters myself, I have had several ante-natal appointments there and have always found the staff/midwives to be friendly, efficient and helpful.

I have a few friends that have had babies there though, and none have specifically mentioned any bad experiences (which would be thing discussed in my group lol) - I think the worst I heard was that one of my friends was transferred to Broomfield because her birth became complicated, but that's standard procedure anyway!

When are you due? :)

Hi Jade, I'm the same as Lea-Marie in that although I didn't actually have my youngest at St Peters my antenatal care was there and I thought the midwives and staff were lovely. Several friends have had their children there and said the care was great! x

Thank you all for your replies, I didn't realise anybody had commented until just now lol! Think I better have a mess about and learn how to use the site properly lol.

I am due in April :-)

xx

It's easy to use once you get the hang of it...

There is an 'Introduce Yourself' section - Maybe pop in there and tell us a little more about yourself, ie where you live etc
