Family Car Recommendations
I know I asked this a few years ago but cars change (well, ours hasn't but people tell me you can get new ones and everything). We need to get a new car, something reliable that will fit a family of five as they grow with plenty of boot space.
Any recommendations?

Re: Family Car Recommendations
We like our Hyandai Santa Fe - We have the 7 seater but with the seats up the boot space is small but with them down - the boot is massive! Vaery spacious in the back seat. Fab bit - is the dealership is only round the corner on the road between Palace theatre/roots hall so great for services/advice etc.

Is that the car you've had for a while Jenny? Would I have been in it?

I'll follow this post we need a bigger car too, well a bus lol
Re: Family Car Recommendations
I loved Mil's sante fe and it is spacious with 3 children in the back and good for camping - I also think the Vauxhall zafira is a good size and the renault scenic as has 3 seperate seats in the back

Re: Family Car Recommendations
Thanks everyone, this all means nothing to me but gives me some starting ideas!
Re: Family Car Recommendations
Louise - We got it when James was born but no you haven't been in it as it is Mike's. I still have my C-max which 3 is manageable but not spacious in back seat but lots of boot space.
Re: Family Car Recommendations
Louise,
We're in the process of looking for new cars and keep coming back to the Kia Sedonas, think John would like an Smax but all the 7 seaters we look at the back seat fold down and the boot isnt big enough for the dog and camping stuff etc. We had a Kia Sedona but the engine went (surely it cant happen again right!) They are massive and like a bus inside so maybe a little too big for you, but as Tilly is 15 and the size of me she was very cramped in the back with the kids and there seats.
Must admit it is getting on my nerves looking online, you may be better going and having a look at a garage with a few different makes and models just to get an idea of some.

We have the new Nissan X Trail. They come with excellent spec in comparison to a similarly priced Ford etc. It drives nice and is reasonably pokey for a 1.6 diesel given the size. Plus we got it on a fantastic 2yr lease deal.

We are now looking at Chrysler Grand Voyagers, they are moosive but struggling a bit as they all have high mileage, probably due to cab use.
