Essex Mums Book Challenge 2011
So, I failed last year's book challenged pretty badly - think I only managed about half of the pages I was supposed to get! I was thinking of doing it again this year but changing it to reading 25 books rather than a certain number of pages as it's easier to keep track of.
I thought if anyone wanted to join me we could set our own targets according to what we think will stretch us, so it could be number of pages if you preferred.
Anyone want to join me?
My first book is, rather embarrassingly, Polo by Jilly Cooper (needed some light reading while I was in hospital and am just finishing it off!)

Hmmm..... I would like to join in but really don't think I wil get much time in for reading Last year I read 16 books between Jan and July which is absolutely amazing! As I said last year, I am normally a 3 books a year girl! Maybe I will try for an average of one a month? But I won't beat myself up if I don't pick any up at all!

I don't know if I failed or not as I kept passing the books on when I finished them without adding the pages to my total =/ So I'll give it another try and see if I can do it this year
I have just finished Weaveworld by Clive Barker and have now started Senseless by J Douglas Burtt

I'll join in again this year. I too failed to keep a record of pages I'd read, so I think the number of books would be easier to keep track of. I know I didn't come anywhere near the target though.
Mum to Louise and Andrew, Nanny to Felix, Iris, Dexter and Charlie.

I am currently working my way through Patricia Cornwell's Scarpetta books, got her new one for Christmas so thought I'd read them all again

Re: Essex Mums Book Challenge 2011
I'm tempted to change my challenge to pages as the books I have lined up are all far too big! I'm halfway through one at the moment and it has well over 1000 pages of very small text, so I think the number of books might not actually be a good idea! Think I'll see how it goes....

I think I will join it this year. Am currently reading 2 books at the moment. I have one in the car for when I get to the school early to pick Mia up but cant remember the name of it and one by the side of my bed 'Rachel's Holiday' by Marian Keyes
Mum to Mia & Mason, wife to Steve - life is for living.

Aww, I remember when Felix was a newborn he used to snooze on my shoulder whilst I read Harry Potter - lovely.

Am still steadily plodding through my Patricia Cornwell books, there are nineteen of them altogether so going to take me a while!
