Some of them are classics though, can I count books like Little Women?

I would if it was me! I think i would count teenage books. For my uni course we read a few Robert Cromier books and I would count them in my list!

I think you can count anything, with the exception of books you read to the kids! Jenn, I loved Robert Cormier when I was a kid!

Hi there all, sorry had to join in this thread as I love to read!!! Was just wondering what you think of The Help, Louise? I LOVED it, read it last year and it is definitely in my top three of all time. If you like it then I can recommend another Author I also love who writes quite similar to her! :) I have managed to pass my love of reading to my 13 year old who is even more of a voracious reader than me and who I just bought a Kindle for this week. She loves it but I think I prefer the feel and smell of a book still...

Does anyone on here have a kindle??

I got half way through 'The Help' and was enjoying it but then I sort of stalled. I still can't get back into the reading habit properly although I'm stocking up a few to take into hospital with me.

Julie, I thought the Help was really good, I couldn't put it down and thought it was a very interesting and tense story. Would definitely recommend giving it another go Mum!

I just can't get into the idea of a Kindle. Kester's dad has one and it's a nice device, I can see how it could be handy if you commute, or on holiday but like you, books are a sensory experience for me, I like the feel and the look of a book.

My Mum has a Kindle, but I too really enjoy the feeling of a new book, especially hard backs :)

Mike has a nie case for his and it opens like a book so it feels like a book when you hold - has the same feel - iykwim? It also has a light that comes out of it to make it very comfortable to read.

Louise you were right, I have finished 'Room' couldn't put it down!

A general question - how to I do a ticker at the bottom of my page? Or a reading challenge thingy?

Tickers need to be made somewhere else - I use lilypie.com but there are other ones. When you make it - you need to get the code for it (you'll be given a few options at the end of making it) and then you copy it. It is the one that looks like this. (not sure what it is called

url=htt p://lilypie. com][im g]http ://%20lb1f. lilypie.com/Vo SB.png[/im g][/url

Then you go into user control panel - which is on the top right. and I think it says manage profile somewhere and then edit signature or amend signature or something. You then paste the ticker code in there. Alternatively you could just write a message.

Hope this works for you. Not very technically minded myself and often use trial and error to figure things out.

I'm sure when others are online later they can help you out more if you get stuck?

You need to make sure you have the BB Code one (starting [url]) not the html one that it defaults to (starting <a href=")

Oh, I forgot to mention I'm on to a new book. Thought The Help was really really good and would highly recommend it. Now reading 'Killer Move' by one of my favourite authors Michael Marshall. 11/25 read
