Going to start the next Diana Gabbaldon one next, The Fiery Cross I think

3/25 read.

I read room a couple of months back and it was simple but amazing. Couldn't put it down! I even miss the little boy when it was finished, how silly is that, ha ha!

Not silly, I know what you mean! It was one of those books where you really wonder what would have happened afterwards. I found I reread the back, the inside etc too because I didn't want it to end, which is always a good sign with me!

Finished Her Fearful Symmetry and really enjoyed it. Started John Wyndham - The Kraken Wakes yesterday and liking it so far but that's not much of a surprise as I'm a big fan, can't believe I haven't read it before!

Really starting to wish I had done books instead of pages, I have read 16 already but not anywhere near halfway through the amount of words I need!

Yeah, or count both. I've done loads more pages than books so am thinking of totting those up too in case I don't succeed on book number!

Finished The Kraken Wakes - very good any typically Wyndham-esque ending. Just started Lovesong by Nikki Gemmell which seems interesting so far.

8/25 finished.

I've just started Cocktails for 3 by Madeleine Wickham (Sophie Kinsella). However - it has very bad language in it and as I am reading it out loud to James at bedtime while he has his milk - I keep having to miss words out! LOL!

I used to read loads of books but since Jack came along I've only managed 1 book, there's so many here that I want to read but don't seem to have any spare time!

I've stalled again. It's annoying because I love a good book.
If you start reading a book and you're not getting into it do you persevere(sp) or give up?

I do tend to persevere as sometimes books can have a bit of a slow start but end up being really good. I read one like that, called Weaveworld and was really glad I stuck at it as the story was so clever, I got really into it.

I''l persevere until about half-way through. I used to always complete it but these days I don't have as much time to read so I want to make sure what I am reading is worth my time!
