#1 Unread post by vik987 » Thu Apr 03, 2008 10:51 am

Well as me & oh have been trying for 19 months now, we have decided to have some tests.

Even thou we did have a pg m/c in july 07 i was so early on 4 weeks we want to make sure it might be i dont ovualte every month?

so oh has had a sperm count test & restults come back normal levels.

I went to see my doctor this week and they have requested a 21 day blood test which i will do saturdy week.

then from there im not sure whats next?

Oh yes, I se eyou already said that. It must be frustrating. Could it be that your body is still recovering from the miscarriage?

not really my levels are all down from that so i would say no

it might just be we are missing every month im not sure.

the longer it goes on the harder it so to TTC.

both me & oh find it stressful. maybe when we stop due to wedding it do us the world of good then once we start again it be all fresh which i think we need :?

Yeah, from what I've heard people often conceive as soon as soon as they stop trying!

Hiya, i can sympathise - i know i have 2 lovely son's now but in 1999 i had an overy removed and was told i would'nt have kids without IVF. I met hubby in 2001 and when we got engaged we decided to start 'actively tryying' as it had to be on record for 2 years before we would qualify for IVF on the Nhs - i was sure i'd fall pregnant easily as i was having a cycle of sorts but 18 months later..nothing! We got married and i contacted my gynae consultant for a review (we were still not using contaception but i'd stopped writing everything down). I knew it wasn't hubby as he already has children.
I'd had a rotton cold and kidney infection and had been throwing up alot - when i checked my diary the last period i'd recorded was 7 weeks previously and i realised i hadn't had one since - que pannick!! 3 positive pregnancy tests later, a trip to epu and the doctors and we were still in denial..Hayden arrived 8 months later! He was our little miracle!

I still think it's because we stopped worrying about conceiving and enjoyed ourselves for a while - Reese on the other hand was a weekend at a music festival and a few too many Magners..........

I hope it all works out for you- surely its a good thing that you are ovulating...good luck :)
