Dad in Thurrock

#1 Unread post by ThurrockDad » Mon Jan 16, 2012 3:13 pm

Hi all,

Just thought i would say hello.

I live in Grays in Thurrock with my wife and two children (5 and 2). I have just started working shifts so some weeks i find myself at home with my son during the day. It occurred to me the other day that I could start going to some parent and toddler groups to get my son more social and to get him away from cebeebies (theres only so much tweenies one man can take!). I had a search online and thats how i stumbled across this site.

I have already planned to go to a few groups this week, so i may bump into one or two of you there.

Hope to see or talk to you soon

Terry

Thanks all for the quick replies.

We went to our first ever parent and toddler group this morning. It was called mucky pups and it was fantastic. My little boy had so much fun and i was surprised he let us leave! We will definitely be going again and we hope to go to some more classes this week. Im hoping it improves his confidence and speech ready for nursery next year

They are fun aren't they? I used to go loads with Felix but not so much with Iris. I do keep meaning to but as she's at nursery three mornings a week I never get round to actually doing it!

Hi Terry
We live down the road in Purfleet and are running a large baby show on the 30th Sept in the Civic Hall in Grays, if there is anything that you have found useful locally, things like support groups, recommended shops or anything else that you think would benefit local new and soon to be parents, please let us know so that we can find a way of sharing this information.
