Petition and consultations about children's centre closures

ECC is in the process of redesigning the current service offer for Children’s Centres and the Healthy Child Programme (Health Visiting, School Nursing Services and Healthy Schools Programme).

As part of this they will be consulting on Children’s Centres between 15th February and 10th April 2016 offering stakeholders, families, parents/carers and young people to have their say on their proposals.

This proposed model involves reducing the number of main site Children’s Centres from 37 to 12 across Essex and making them Family Hubs. A further 38 satellite centres, typically open for fewer hours would be cut to 17.
