Young artists from across Castle Point are being invited to take part in the Mayor’s Parlour Painting competition, organised by The Art Ministry.

This year we are encouraging all Castle Point's Year 6 pupils to unleash their creativity and produce a piece to the theme of ‘Castle Point in the Future’.

All entries will be displayed in the Castle Point Council’s atrium from June and this exhibit is open to the public, free of charge. The Mayor will later judge the entries and choose a winning piece to be framed and hung in the Parlour. The winner, along with school representatives, will meet the Mayor at a special presentation of the paintings.

Any medium can be used and entries should be no larger than A3. The deadline is the 23rd May, 2014.

Send your entries to:
The Art Ministry
1 Church Road
Hadleigh
SS7 2DQ
Or:
We will collect from the entrant's school

The competition is organised on behalf of the Mayor by The Art Ministry who provide low-cost art clubs, classes and projects to bring out the creativity in people, especially those less able or disadvantaged. For more information, please contact The Art Ministry at info@theartministry.org.uk.
