Periods whilst breastfeeding

Did any of you who breastfed find that your period went irregular again after a few regular months while you were still feeding? Sorry, that's really badly worded!

Basically, I got my period back 4 months ago. I am always very regular, with 26 day cycles, though they have been 28 days exactly since coming back. This month I am about 4 days late. I am never late so this is baffling me. I know it's common to have irregular periods when still breastfeeding but to be regular then irregular seems odd.
