Listerine and vinegar foot soak

Has anyone tried the Listerine and vinegar foot soak to remove dead skin?

I tried it a few months ago but my partner picked up a tiny bottle of white wine vinegar instead of white distilled vinegar. I thought I'd give it a go anyway even though I was pretty sure it wouldn't work.
It didn't work and I was left with blue stained toe nails as well as the dead skin!

I've looked online at different sites and the Listerine, vinegar and water ratio varies. Some say you don't even need to use Listerine.

If any of you have tried it and it has worked, how much of each ingredient do you put in and how long do you soak them for.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
