Wii & Wii Fit

#1 Unread post by BrandonsMum08 » Fri Aug 15, 2008 12:17 am

We bought a Wii and Wii fit today. Weve been debating it for a while now and Game had an excellent deal on so we couldnt resist in the end lol.
Ive just spent about an hour on it and OMG COR BLIMEY!! is all i can say lol. I can now feel muscles i never knew i had before and i didnt even realise i was exercising apart from when i was doing the yoga part. Its great doing it with someone because you get soooo competitive! then cos of that you end up doing it for longer. I managed 426 hula hoops in 3mins and before that done 296 in 90secs, so over 700 hula hoops in less than 5mins... needless to say that killed my thighs!! and i can also now feel my abs are aching.
love it!!

Sounds like a great from of exercise, we are hoping to get one when we have a spare bit of cash (not likely though).

My In laws have one and its such good fun!

There is nothing funnier than watching my father in law trying to do the ski jumping - he is over 6 foot and weighs close to 20 stone! Hilarious!

We paid £199.99 for the Wii with 4 games, and then an extra £70 for the wii fit. it was definately worth the money and i highly advise anyone to get it. Andy had a go first and it was soooooo funny watching him do the hula hooping, i actually had tears!

Lisa - i agree about the ski jump, i done quite well on it but andy, well, that was hilarious lol he just couldnt get the jump bit.

Yeah, I've been told it's fantastic to get/stay in shape... have been contemplating myself...

Paul decided he'd rather have an XBox when we were looking at them though! lol

Its even better if you're a competitive person because you keep trying to out-do each other, then before you know it, its been on for 2 hours and you've both exercised for an hour each!

xbox i personally dont like as most of the games are fighting or football, and boyish sort of games, where as the wii has a variety of games for girls, boys and kids so i definately think the wii is worth the money more than the xbox because it would get more use by everyone - plus it gives you exercise instead of making you a couch potato lol

Yeah.. I must admit that the XBox sees more Fifa than anything else... But I also enjoy a mad session of Guitar Heroes on it! lol

That would be Mark and I  , we're dreadful! We were doing the same exams for our accountancy at the same time and it was so funny looking back.
May have to have a re-think as we'll end up getting a divorce
