Apologies

#1 Unread post by Bruch70 » Sun Mar 15, 2009 9:12 pm

Dear Essex Mums members,
I just wanted to apologise for my absence on this page. Unfortunately i have, since november last year, had a catalogue of personal disasters both emotional and physical for both myself and my son. I badly broke my arm just a week before xmas and needed surgery and still require more. I also broke my coccyx off (falling over on a wet floor) and then 3 weeks ago my son badly broke his leg and needed surgery too!. I have not been on line much at all these days and finding myself as a working single mum, self employed in a credit crunch, things have been quite difficult, not to mention stressful and incredibly busy. Sure you other single mums can relate! i barely get to sit down these days until past midnight when quite frankly, i am way passed my best!
For those of you that have come here seeking advice, i can see the other members have more than adequately helped you out which is good. I find myself now leaving the private sector so will no longer be an independent midwife but have been offered a job at a local essex hospital. This is for many reasons but mainly because being on my own, i can't commit to being on call 24/7.

I would still be very willing to log in from time to time and give people advice if i am still welcome. I will do my best to check in more from now on!

Sending warmest wishes as always,
Vicky x

You could end up delivery one of the many essex mums babies that are due over the next few months if your gonna be a midwife at a hospital. Can we ask what hospital your be at?

Hope you and your son are on the mend soon with more luck on your side xx
