Darren and I have started talking about having another as he would love to have a daughter with me (obviously can't gurantee sex)
But I have non id twins and was wondering how high are my chances of having another set of twins? Is it right aswell that the older you get the higher the risk? (i'm 30)
Thanks
What are my chances

Re: What are my chances
The chance of having a set of non identical twins with a close family history of twins (ie, your mum had twins) is 1:17
The chance of having a second set of fraternal twins is 1:3000 - this is still higher than the general population chance of having non identical twins (ie you are more likely to have twins than someone who hasn't got twins), but still means you would have to have 3000 pregnancies to have another set of fraternal twins!
The chance of twins does increase with age, but not at 30. Your history of twins is more significant, but the chance of another set is still fairly small (though of course is still possible!)
Hope this helps you out! Xx
