Reviewers Wanted

#1 Unread post by weezypops » Wed Jul 06, 2011 1:29 pm

I often get approached by companies who want Mums to review products as you know, and was thinking it might be nice to have a proper reviews section on here where we have a panel of Mums of different ages kids, and that when I get these requests they'll go to one of the Mums who it is appropriate for. Would anyone be interested in doing it? It would mean free stuff, in return for writing a review. Oh, and I'd need a photo and a little bit about you and your kids, just so that I can create a page with profiles. It would be on the main site rather than on the forum.

I was thinking of having one or two mums from each category, up to a total of ten, with the following categories:
0-2
3-5
5-8
9-13
14-18

If you have kids in more than one category I might choose which to put you in or use in both depending on the interest we get.

Let me know if you're interested! Ideally it would be nice to have people who are fairly regular posters as you need to be reliable but I'm happy to consider anyone.

Great, that's a really good review!

I have one company who have a load of products they want reviewed asap so I would like to get this up and running fairly soon. I hope a few more people come on board!

Hello

Id love to do this - im new to the mummy board - ive recently starting blogging - I have http://scarlettskitchen.wordpress.com/ and also have just starting blogging for Essex Life Magazine.

I have a daughter for 2.5 years and another on the way in a few months.

As a stay at home mum I have plenty of time to use products throughly and wrtie the reviews that go with them.

Would love to be part of this exciting new venue

Alice

HI,

As an Essex Home Dad I'd like to be considered as a product reviewer.

There are many more "home" Dad's these days so I could give that perspective.

We have just become a father of one, Harry, born ten weeks premature. 3 1/2 weeks on and he is doing very well so thanks to Colchester General SCBU.

Cheers

Would definitely like to get a Dad on board Simon, that would be a really nice take on it I think.

Thanks everyone. Looks like we've got a few from the younger end so would be nice to get some parents of older kids too (though keep them coming if you only have younger kids!).

Hmm, well maybe we can have a few more from the younger section as we're likely to have more stuff for younger kids anyway. Would still be nice to one or two Mums of tweens/teens though too.

I think I'll start putting something together and will set up a seperate forum that everyone who has volunteered can have access to where we can work out all the details etc.

Can anyone who does want to do it send me an email or a PM with the following details:

Name
Age and names of kids
Then a short bio to go with it all. Doesn't need to be a lot to it, just something like Kat has put would be great. It's really just so that when I build the page we can get a bit of a feel for the different reviewers, their interests, their kids interests etc.

Hiya Louise

We chatted at the Southend baby show, I'm one if the Essex Doulas. :0)

I would absolutely be interested in reviewing. I have children of 9&7.

I'm also a Babycalm teacher so may well be able to review some of their products too if the reviews can be posted on your site.

Thanks
