Introduction

Hi,
I am a newbie here, so a quick intro:
I have been following on twitter for some time now. As you can tell I'm a dentist and a dad to 5 kids ranging from 18 years old to 5. The eldest 3 are girls, then we had 2 boys. I love kids, but definitely don't want any more!
My interests are cycling, scuba diving, gym, skiing, camping and anything generally occurring outdoors. I try to get my family involved in all these with varying degrees of success - won't give though.
I am concerned about the breakdown of families in our culture, and fatherhood in particular. My teenage girls have been challenging, struggling between the 3 of them with just about EVERY issue that teens battle with. The eldest 2 are through the worst of it now, but at times I felt despair and a failure as a parent. How I could go from hero to zero in the space of a few months was hard to deal with.
I have realised that there is very little support for parents in particular who find themselves floundering with troubled teens.
