Welcome....

#1 Unread post by kat » Tue Apr 22, 2008 12:08 am

.....to the Forum.... You've just taken the first step in increasing your social circle and chatting to like minded mums/dads who have been or are single parents...

I have absolutely no right in welcoming you as such, as I am not the creator haha....but I have been there, was a single Mum for four years, and I know that not only is it very rewarding, but it can be very hard....so I know that this could be just what you need :) So welcome again.... In the words of Cilla, whats ya name and where d'ya come from? :D

Haha, not a single mum but just wanted to say I liked your welcome. And you're more than suited to do it as it was your idea...

Hi Claire, Jenny, Nicola.....

Nice to see you on here :D

K x

p.s. Jenny, hope you don't mind me asking, where do you work? I am looking to send out C.Vs at the end of the summer for part-time work before I begin my legal practice course in sep 2009 (taking a year off after the LLB to spend time with my poor neglected children...bless them!)...what solicitors would you recommend in Braintree?

Before I began the LLB I wanted to work in commercial law, probably in the city, but I think the degree has aged me,mentally, call it maturing?! Dunno...my outlook on life generally has changed so much! I now want to work in family/child law or funnily enough conveyancing lol, in a smaller family run firm, if such a thing still exists. I got a first for my Land Law and Property module and really enjoyed it. Was going to write my dissertation on adverse possession, but decided to write on Cohabitee's instead.

Why do the ILEX if you are already Legal Sec? Won't your firm pay for you to do LLB? You can do it part time in Chelmsford, I am studying at Anglia Ruskin. If you did, it will be worth it it. Hard work with kiddies, but wouldn't change a thing.

I'm near Glebe estate xxx
