Essex Mums Family Camp - POLL ADDED
Re: Essex Mums Family Camp - POLL ADDED
I've had a look on their websites to check availability. The Orchard (45 pitches) is already fully booked. The other large one (Steadings park) has 60 pitches but couldn't see what their availability is. We will need to email them with an enquiry. How many are in? Will need to know how many adults, children, dogs and tents.

I'm still trying to find out about plans for MIL's birthday. Will try and find out quickly.
Re: Essex Mums Family Camp - POLL ADDED
I rang Steadings and they only have 2 pitches left that weekend :-(
Any other suggestions?

I've emailed a few others. One of them has come back to say they can accommodate us http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/revie ... revid=7652. I can't find any other info about the site other than the reviews though.
Re: Essex Mums Family Camp - POLL ADDED
Yeah, that's what I thought. The reviews are good-9/10. I've tried googling it but cant find anything else out. She's emailed me a booking form and said that they require full payment up front as they were let down a lot last year. It's local too. I've tried to attach the booking form but it won't let me. If you want I can email it through to peeps if you want to give me email addresses?

Yep, email it over to me at louise@essexmums.org - I assume we'll all book seperately!
Assuming this is okay with everyone!

You will need one pitch per tent/caravan Louise. There will be three of us, one adult two children.

Just had a look at that link, we have been there a few times. It's not a playground as such but they do have some play equipment there. There's not really an awful lot to do nearby but we always take plenty of outdoor toys and the kids always enjoy it as there is a big group of us that go. Also, it can get very windy there as mostly it's open fields.
Re: Essex Mums Family Camp - POLL ADDED
It says on UKcampsite that camp fires are allowed, yet none of the reviews mentioned that. Can you have a campfire Claire? It also said they were dog friendly so would mean Tracy could take the hounds.
I'm happy to book separately. It avoids the hassle of who owes who money. We'll have to do it soon though as all sites are booking up fast.

I'm happy to book as long as everyone else is!
Claire, I'm sure we can take bits for the kids to do between us all. Unless you can recommend anywhere else?

I'm happy to book but like you Louise I don't want to commit to it and then no-one else books! I spoke to Tracy earlier and she's still keen dependent on their tent.
