Thanks Michelle, I just applied. I don't think it's free rail travel though, just the free card, which normally gets you a third off adult travel and 60% off children. Still good though!

According to the daily mail it's free travel. And then once it expires it gives you money off.

Got mine this morning - handy in case we want to do anything in half-term. It says on it you get 1/3 off adult tickets and 60% off kids ones though mine are young enough to go free anyway. After that you can buy the annual card half-price. There are also discounts on various places too. All good stuff!

Does the t & c's say you need a child with you to get discount travel?

Yeah for some reason it is money off not free travel like was in the paper.
