How we were born?
Maggie a mum of Timmy and Aleks, and Eva a mum of Maya and Leon , were struggling to get hold of pretty but above all healthy shoes for their children. This was especially difficult at the time when their toddlers were straggling their first steps. The shoes in the shops looked lovely but most of them were heavy - far too heavy or too stiff on the sole for children's little feet. The materials used were often artificial and the shoes didn't breathe. After buying and trying out different baby shoes they have decided to open a baby boutique. Applefit was born from a desire to share their findings and making their favourite toddler shoes available for other mummies who struggle to find both, beautiful and healthy children footwear.

We understand that it might be difficult to choose the correct size of the shoe for your baby without trying it on first. We strive to give you the best guidance as possible to choose the correct size of any of the brands we sell. We have created our fun and easy to use Caterpillar’s Measuring Chart which you can print out. Otherwise please simply use our guidance notes on the same page and measure your child’s feet on a clear piece of paper.

To make on-line shopping less daunting we are also offering you free delivery & returns on all orders.

However, what sets us apart from any other on-line boutiques is that we are prepared to open our homes to you by offering a free local try-on service. Coming from a retail background, our dream for the future is to grow and open an independent baby shoes boutique in one of our beautiful towns in Essex. You will then be able to experience the greatest customer service and your child will always be able to try our lovely shoes on. But while our dreams are still in the making, and we are trading on-line only, we wanted to give you the best service we possibly can, so we came up with this unusual idea! You might not be sure about any aspects of the shoes we sell and you want to see them first. Or it might be that you simply don’t want to risk buying on-line without your baby trying the shoes on first. Now you can contact us by email on info@applefit.co.uk and make an appointment during which we will measure your child’s feet and pick the right size. We use our unique “fitting room” tool, as well as give your child few moments to wear the shoes so that you can see they fit comfortably. Having young children ourselves, we are equipped with plenty of toys to keep the owners of those little feet entertained! We are very friendly too so you also might enjoy a cuppa and a biscuit or two!
The service we offer is free, but you will have to travel to one of our two locations in Essex, both in very close proximity to the London Stansted Airport. Any details will be sent to you in response to your email. The appointments will be always individual; only one customer at a time. This way you can be assured you will get plenty of attention to make a correct decision! There is also no obligation to buy! You can always pop in to check the size and style of the shoe then buy later on-line.
