The North Essex NHS Trust run monthly taster sessions for people interested in becoming volunteers - getting involved is a great way to meet new people and access further training opportunities. They have a network of over 70 Volunteer Health Champions, who work with Health Trainers (similar to one to one lifestyle coaches who help people in the following key areas- weight management, physical activity, smoking cessation, mental health, drugs/alcohol use).
