Does anyone know anything about these? I've done a quick search online but having trouble trying to find anything useful about what they are or the process of removing them.
Dr said today I've got some and referred me to a surgeon to remove them. I don't think it's anything to worry about but I would like a bit more info about tho.
Thanks for your help (if you can help)

From what i just searched, they are just lumps of fatty tissue under the skin. They dont usually need to be removed unless in an unsightly place and patients chooses to have them removed.
The process of being removed is usually just a local anaesthetic, small incision in the skin, and the lump taken out, then stitched up.
They are non cancerous, and there hasnt been a case documented that has turned cancerous.
Sometimes they can be inherited and develop at any stage of life.
Generally they dont cause problems, but occasionally may put pressure on a nerve, causing pain and sometimes grow internally which could cause a few problems like blockages and aches. They are commonly found on chest, back and shoulder.
It sounds alot like what my MIL, OH and step daughter have which the doctor has called a ganglion which looks pretty much the same through the skin but is a benign cyst full of a thick jelly like stuff. But unlike the Lipomas, they are usually attached to a joint or tendon. OHs is on his elbow, Step daughters is on the top of her foot and MILs is on her wrist.
Hope this helps
