School term and holiday dates for community and voluntary controlled schools in Essex.

The dates for the 2009 - 2010 term are:

Image

Autumn Term (73 Days):
Wednesday 2 September 2009 - Friday 18 December 2009
Half Term:
Monday 26 - Friday 30 October 2009

Spring Term (59 Days):
Monday 4 January 2010 - Thursday 1 April 2010
Half Term:
Monday 15 - Friday 19 February 2010
Bank Holiday: Friday 2 April

Summer Term (63 Days):
Monday 19 April 2010 - Thursday 22 July 2010
Half Term:
Monday 31 May - Friday 4 June 2010
Bank Holiday: Monday 3 May 2010

In addition to these dates schools can allocate five non-pupil days on dates of their choice.

Check with individual schools for variations in term times.

Please note: If your child attends a voluntary aided or foundation school, their holiday dates may vary from those shown on the Essex calendar. You must check with the school before making any commitments.

School term dates are set at least 12 months before the following school year.

Interesting that the schools are taking the two weeks after Easter off this year instead of one week before and one after!
