Write a ghost story and win a laptop for you and your school in the Texthelp Creative Writing Competition

Texthelp, providers of award-winning literacy support software, are giving away a pair of laptops to a student and a school that enter its creative writing competition – and as it is Halloween we thought you would like to send in your ghost stories!

Each prize will include a copy of Texthelp's literacy support software, Read&Write 10 GOLD which is designed specifically for children with reading and writing difficulties. The software operates discreetly as a toolbar on all mainstream Windows applications and features include text-to-speech, spelling support, a talking dictionary, word prediction, study skills, a translator tool, a fact mapper and a talking calculator.

The competition has two categories and is open to Primary School pupils aged 3 - 10 years old and Secondary School pupils aged 11 - 18 years old. To enter simply ‘Follow’ Texthelp’s Twitter page or if possible follow us on Facebook and submit your short story or poem on a subject of your choice (maximum 750 words) and submit it to Jenny Laird at j.laird@texthelp.com.

The deadline for entries is 5pm on Monday 5th November 2012 and the winner will be announced on Texthelp’s Facebook page. Make sure to include your name, postal address, phone number, school and age on your entry.

For more information see the Texthelp creative writing competition page here - http://www.texthelp.com/UK/about-texthe ... ewsid=5641.
