PQA Colchester Summer School 2019 -
Monday 29th July - Friday 2nd August 2019! We are very excited to announce that this year students will be learning, rehearsing an original play in a week!
Play in a Week - 10 AM - 4 PM
Students aged 6-18 will work with Team PQA industry professionals on an original musical theatre piece featuring numbers from some of the biggest shows currently showing in the West End and Broadway, including Dear Evan Hansen, Everybody's Talking About Jamie, School of Rock and more! The play will be performed by students for an invited audience at 3.30pm on Friday 2nd August. Both rehearsals and the performance will be held in the brand-new, purpose built facilities at Philip Morant Academy. This is a fantastic experience for young performers to collaborate, build confidence, make friends, and we're extremely excited to get started!
Tweak Your Technique - 9-10am, 4-5pm
In addition to play in a Week, students on our Tweak your technique course will be required to attend an extra two hours each day. Arriving at 9am and departing at 5pm, students can expect to develop their skills in sessions focused on various dance and performance styles, such as ballet, contemporary and jazz. This course is perfect for children wishing to spend a week exploring Musical Theatre in even more detail. This option works very well for any parents or guardians with longer hours at work and is only available to book alongside Play in a Week!
