Event Description:
FREE 10 week course for women.
A space for women, with or without children, to pause, reflect, and sing simple, uplifting and heartfelt songs. Babies and young children are welcome. All songs are taught by ear. No auditions, no sheet music, just come along and join us to nourish, connect and recharge through singing.
Singing Mamas is a national non-profit working across the UK.
We’re a movement made up of nurses, doctors, midwives, musicians, teachers and community workers who are all committed to improving the well-being of women through singing.
We exist because suicide is the leading cause of death for women during pregnancy and one year after birth and because singing is clinically proven to reduce symptoms of postnatal depression faster than the usual forms of treatment.
