Carters Steam Fair is renowned for being Europe's premier vintage travelling funfair, bringing the thrills and delights of the traditional fairground to towns and villages throughout London, the Home Counties and beyond each year. Carters operates and maintains a large collection of rides and sidestalls, ranging in date from the late 19th century to the 1960s, and every season they're travelled with vintage heavy lorries and traditional showman's living wagons.

The Carter family are passionate about keeping these rides working and giving people the chance to experience them firsthand. This isn't a museum, it's a living, breathing funfair, and it delivers all the excitement and atmosphere that a visit to the fair should – from the thrill of the Skid to the buzz of the Dodgem track, the twinkling lights and the exuberant colour, all punctuated with the chime of the Striker bell, the unmistakeable trill of the steam organ, and plentiful candyfloss.

In this digital age, it's a refreshing change for people to experience something so tangible and real, from an adrenaline-fuelled ride in the Dive Bomber to the thrill of their first visit to the Wall of Death. The Fair provides an excellent and memorable day out for people of all ages, from young families to great-grandparents alike.
