Review Families Needed!
As some of you may have spotted if you've looked through the reviews section here, I'm one of the newest reviewers on the block here at Essex Mums! I'm a photographer, and this year I am accompanying families to days out and attractions in Essex to capture on camera how the day has gone, then with f...

Independent toy/gift shops in Essex/Havering?
Hiya, I'm putting the final touches to a promotion and thought it might actually be a good idea to partner with a fellow business that means I can double up the prizes... but I'm struggling to think of businesses to approach. So where do YOU shop that isn't a big chain? Thinking wooden toys, childre...

Re: Big little brother... anyone got one of these?
We go to Buttercup club - he goes to nursery 3 days a week, does a club on his own on Mondays with me, and goes swimming with Daddy on his own on Fridays. We're just a bit taken aback really, S was never very physical, we never had to childproof for her etc etc...!

Re: Big little brother... anyone got one of these?
Thank you - he does love swimming but apart from putting him in the bath 24-7 I shall need to give him another activity I think! Thanks!

Big little brother... anyone got one of these?
We're struggling a bit with my littlest - partly because he's the youngest and so we've gone backwards from where we were getting used to my eldest starting to be independent etc. Also partly because he's very physical - he's tactile, wrestles, throws things, bangs things - most of which we don't mi...

Re: Pocket Money
Oh goodness, I've got all this to come! At the moment we don't do pocket money (S is only 4.5) but she does get a penny every time she spots a policeman (sounded like a good idea at the time until you see a vanload go past...). I guess when she actually has a concept of money and value I'll have to ...

Re: School Photos
I'm a child/family photographer, but I still buy the occasional photo from school/nursery - value-wise I know what goes into it so I'm comfortable with the price. But normally it's simply because they've got a nice shot of my child! Whem S was 1, I didn't buy her nursery photo because she had a rott...

Re: New Mum!
That does sound fabulous! I'm another newbie - I'm in your rough area so once my eldest is in a school routine I could think about it for my youngest!

Oh goodness, I haven't even thought! (puts fingers in ears and sings la la la).
Actually I think I have some Happyland for M (16m). It's the eldest I'll find difficult. She already has kitchen, dolls house etc...

Re: When is the right time?
The thing is though Michelle, I'm not sure I ever actually made a decision - it was a visceral need rather than a logical thought. My husband did need to actually decide, and for him that involved speaking to my consultant again (I was pretty ill after Joe died) and being reassured that I wasn't at ...

Re: Hello from Marie
I did warn you I was a late-night poster! Thanks for the welcome everyone - Sofie's first day (well, afternoon) went well, though she needed a LOT of winding down afterwards! Those of you who are ahead of me on this, I'm sure I'll need your help as we go on! Jenn that's really kind, yes, they are my...
