The Essex Mums Awards celebrate the very best that our county has to offer — the local businesses, family days out, products, and people that Essex parents love most. Each year, thousands of parents cast their votes to recognise those who go the extra mile to make family life in Essex better, brighter, and more fun. Now in its 13th year, the Awards have become one of the most trusted and talked-about community highlights of the year — a true celebration of Essex life, built on real recommendations from local families.
Nominations for the 2026 Essex Mums Awards will open in June.
HOW THE AWARDS WORK
1. Nominations
Parents and families nominate their favourite businesses across a range of categories — it’s completely free and open to everyone.
To be included in the nominations, businesses need to be listed in the Essex Mums Business Listings. This simply ensures everything runs smoothly and fairly, with accurate business details for voters.
For businesses, a directory listing costs just £3 per year and offers year-round visibility to thousands of local parents using the site. If this cost is a barrier to listing your business, please get in touch — we’re always happy to help.
2. Voting
The top 5 businesses in each category (based on nominations) go through to the final voting stage, where the community votes to decide the winners.
3. Winners Announced
Winners are announced across each category — celebrating the businesses and experiences Essex families truly love.
