Newbie :-) witham/Braintree area

Hey I'm new on here, I'm a full time single mummy to a gorgeous little boy called William. He is my whole world and would do anything for my little munchkin. He has just turned two. Is there any mummies in the witham/Braintree area looking for a new friend? I'm really lacking in mummy friends and only just realised. Be nice to hear from anyone :-)

Welcome to Essex Mums.

My name is Vicky. I live in Witham. I'm a stay at home Mum to 2 children, Rhys who's 3 and Erin who's 2. I run a group on Facebook called 'Witham Yummy Mummy Group'. Pop over and say Hi if you're on Facebook. We chat, debate, offer advice, meet for coffee and go on the occasional night out. Along with my Yummy Mummy friends we provide what I think is a vital service by posting local event information and I have recently set up documents with all the groups Witham has to offer for pre-school age children, Nursery/Preschool information and childminding info and it's growing all the time.

I'm not local but wanted to say Hi. I'm Jenny - I also have a William (5) and a James who is 18 months.

I was exactly the same - When William was 2ish - I suddenly realised I had no-one who I could call a close friend. That's why I joined this forum and now I have lots of friends and lots of people to turn to when I need help, comfort or advice.

Thanks you Jenny. I hAve friends but they have no kids yet so they don't understand when I have to cancil last minute because he is sick or that we need to go to child friendly places. I can't wait for their turn lol.
