Hi there,

My name is Katie and I am new to Leigh on Sea and new to this forum! I have a two month old baby girl called Fearne and am looking to make friends and join baby groups/ classes in the local area. I have spent the last few weeks getting to know my new baby and am now ready to get out and about more. Just looking for some advice on where is best to go really?

I am the other side of the High STreet to you in SOuthchurch so don't really know what is best in Leigh but I know there are loads of options and someone else will have more advice

Hi, welcome to Essex Mums. I'm Louise and I live in Westcliff with my husband Kester and our three kids - Felix who is 6, Iris who turned 5 yesterday and Dexter who is 1.

You should come and post in the daily thread - it's a really nice way of getting to know people.

There are lots of nice groups around in Leigh - we go to Baby Sensory in Chalkwell and Jo JIngles on Leigh Broadway and I can recommend both. I'm going to try to start taking Dexter to a baby and toddler group after next week and will be looking around the Leigh area so will let you know what I find!
