Returning to Southend (Thorpe Bay Area) after 10 yrs away..

#1 Unread post by K8Page » Sun Jul 21, 2013 10:09 pm

Hi all..
Returning to Southend after 10 yrs away.. We are a young family.. 2 wonderful boys aged 4 and 6 months.. Things have changed a lot.. we were in our 20's when we left.. now in our 30's! Was originally from Eastwood/ Leigh area so would be really grateful if anyone would share any local groups, activities in the Thorpe bay area.. Having 2 young children of different ages is challenging.. trying to find activities that suit both..! Any holiday clubs? When my eldest starts reception this september i will have day time to do 'baby' activities.. Although have friends in area.. Some with young families.. We are keen to meet new mummy's.. Especially those that might be in the same area..
Looking forward to hearing from you..

Welcome to the site! There are a few of us in your area and surrounding places. I'm in Westcliff, I'm Louise and have three kids - Felix who is 6, Iris who is 4 and Dexter who is 4 months. You should come and say hello in the daily threads as they are a nice way of getting to know people.

Hi. I am in shoebury so not far from Thorpe bay.

I'd recommend Thorpedene pre school for children 2+ and the school is fab.
Shoebury children's centre does activies and classes such as parent and toddler or pushy mums / baby massage.

Baby sensory has a class run in shoebury too which has great reviews as well as tumble tots and Jo jingles.

Hi and welcome to Essexmums. Think I commented on your post on one of the FB groups.

I am Gina, mum to Mia who is 7 and Mason who is 20 months. Know how difficult it is to find stuff to do that both can join in and enjoy.

I would recommend joining in the daily thread as it is a good way to get to know people on the site. We just ramble about our daily lives.

Here is todays : http://www.essexmums.org/forum/viewtopi ... =4&t=21236

Look forward to hearing about your day x

Hi there

I am Jenny, mum to William who is 6 and James who is 2.

I am in Southchurch so again not far from Thorpe Bay

You ask about holiday clubs - are you moving back soon? I am doing a holiday club in Gt Wakering 12th-16th August (altho I am only doing Tues, Weds, Thurs) et me know if you want the details - it is £2 a morning (10am-12:30)per child.

Have you managed to get your eldest into a reception? which one?

Looking forward to meeting you soon!

Hi I'm Rachel a mum of 3. I live in Southchurch.
What school is your child starting?
There's a mother and toddler group on Mondays at Christchurch on Colbert avenue in Thorpe bay at 10am. I used to go there it's nice but mine are 9,7 and 3 now so thankfully no more groups for me.x
