Mum to be re-locating to Rochford

#1 Unread post by sally030784 » Fri Jun 10, 2011 12:24 pm

Hi Everyone,

I am 26 yrs old and a new mum to be, due 5th September. Me and my hubby are relocating from Wiltshire to Rochford in the next 3 weeks due to his job and as I dont know anyone in the area I was wondering if there were any other mums to be around the area?!

HI Sally
I am mummy to Jack 4 and Sam 2 - the maternity care in Rochford is excellent and at Rapheal house they do a 6 week post natal group so you get to meet mums in the area, I made new friends from there. Where abouts in Rochford are you moving to?
I live in Rochford at the moment by the Anne Boleyn Pub but we have our house on the market to move nearer to my mum in Eastwood

Hi Kris,

Thanks for your reply. I am moving to a place near the Cherry Tree Pub, very excited! Just cant wait to get moved now! I have heard that the care is great in Rochford and that the hospital in Southend is really good. Ive got to get a move on though and register with the doctors in Rochford so that I can get referred to a midwife! Which doctors would you recommend as I think that there are two in the same building? Is that right?

Hi Sally and Welcome to Essexmums

Congratulations on your pregnancy and the move. Do you know what your having?
When are you due to move?
I live in Shoebury but there does tend to be a few meet ups dotted around in different areas so hopefully will meet up at some point.

I am with the Puzey Family and my mum is with Bajen and Blasco and they are both really good - Puzey is the bigger practice with more doctors and the nurses are great - brilliant with appointments - I can phone up and get one that day, Clairebear on here will be just up the road from you x

Hi there. As Kris said, you will be just up the road from us, we live in the row of bungalows just before you get to the Cherry Tree. Will you be on Stambridge Road or down one of the side roads? We moved here from Southend five years ago and so glad we did, Rochford is lovely :)

Hi Michelle,

I think the course is at someones house but im not sure!

Hi Claire, yes we will be on stambridge road. Rochford does seem like a really nice place... hopefully there is lots to do around the area! Are you a mum to be or do you have little ones already?

So we might almost be neighbours then ;) I have two not so little ones already, both girls, one is 5 and the other is 12. There's not an awful lot to do in Rochford, it's pretty quiet but there's plenty to do in surrounding areas.

Hi Sally and welcome to Essexmums.

As you can see we are a friendly buncy, most of my closest friends are friends I have made through this website.

I am Gina, mum to Mia who is 5, baby no.2 due end November. We live in Westcliff not too far from Rochford.
Mum to Mia & Mason, wife to Steve - life is for living.

Hi Sally and welcome to the forum - I wholeheartedly agree with Gina - we're a lovely bunch! And yay to moving down the road from Claire! I'm Louise, I'm 32 and live in Westcliff. I have two kids, Felix who is nearly 4 and Iris who is 2 and we're currently trying for our third
