Making Christmas special for families in need

Hi so I had this idea last year to visit families in need over the Christmas period, and bring some christmas cheer, dress up as an elf and bring special gifts or something for the kids.
I had loads of great feedback when I suggested this t other people but I need your help! I don't know how t gp about finding families who would love a surprise visit. Obviously christmas is a while off but I'd like to help people who have had a rough year or something
