New Girl - Single Mum - Wickford

#1 Unread post by bacook » Thu Aug 09, 2012 9:01 pm

Hi Everyone,

I am new to Essex mums so thought I would just say "Hi". Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine. I have a 4 year old daughter who's starting school in Sept - so much to organise ;-) - I am a single parent and I work full time. I would love to meet other mums in and around the area, but appreciate it's hard for me to meet up with people other than at the weekends as time is short.

HI Barb, welcome to Essex Mums. I'm Louise, I live in Westcliff and have two kids, Felix who is 5 and Iris who is 3, plus another on the way. Aw, starting schools seems like such a big change but it's amazing how quickly it becomes normal. Is she excited about starting?

If you fancy chatting you should come and say hello in the daily thread, we do a lot of nattering in there, just about our days etc. but it's a nice way of getting to know people.

Hi ladies,

Thanks for your replies, nice to hear from you. It seems unreal that she's starting school, seems like only yesterday when she was born. She's only just turned 4 so she'll be a bubba in her class but she is very ready for it. She is excited yes, but don't know how long that will last once she starts going, ha ha. Sounds like you both have your hands full :-). I will definitely say "hi" on the daily thread.

Felix was the same - he has just turned 4 in July so I was really worried about him being one of the little ones, but it turned out there were three in his class younger than him, and apart from being one of the smallest in his class, it hasn't affected him at all!

That's good to hear. Eloise was four on 27th July so a July baby like Felix. Does he like school?

Hi Gina,

Nice to hear from you, lovely pic. I have been sitting here trying to add a pic to my profile but not being very successful :-(

Think it must be time for bed soon, ready for another day.
