New Mummy living in Laindon (Nr Basildon)

Hi All,

I'm Laura, 28, married and mum to our beautiful 15-month old daughter Ava. I work full-time (compressed hours 4-days a week) in London, so I don't get to do a lot of socialising with other Mums.

We're from Nottingham originally and moved to Essex due to work commitments. I have made some brilliant friends via net mums, but I would love to make more, especially mums with children around Ava's age, in our area or other working mums juggling work, family, housework and the occasional half an hour of 'Me time'. Not that I am complaining in the slightest, I wouldn't change my crazy life for anything and count myself as one very lucky mummy.

I would love to chat and hear about you and what's going on.

Hi Laura, it must be hard making friends while you're at work - I know a few of the mums on here do it and imagine it's not easy. Do you have one day a week you get off then?

I'm Louise, I'm in Westcliff and have two kids, Felix who is nearly 4 and Iris who is 2. I'm lucky in that I work from home so do get time to do things, but it's hard work trying to get things done with them around!
