Introduction from Helen

#1 Unread post by hbaylis » Tue Aug 13, 2013 10:30 pm

My name is Helen, or Mrs Baylis if you are under the age of 11!

I have been teaching in Primary schools since September 2000. I have had experience of working as a supply teacher, in Key Stage One, Early Years and Key Stage Two. I have worked both in the state sector and the private sector. I have some experience of working in Day nurseries and summer play schemes too before qualifying at university. I have done private tutoring of children aged 6-11 and also have experience of 11+ invigilating too.

In 2008 I became a mum and this has certainly changed my outlook and approach as a class teacher. Last year I was nominated to achieve a national teaching award for my efforts in my role as class teacher.

I thoroughly enjoy my job, apart from being a mum, I struggle to think of anything as satisfying as being a teacher.

I'm happy to try and answer any questions or concerns where possible.

Thanks,
Helen Baylis
