Hairy Belly - More Testosterone?!

Okay, so slightly embarassing, but I'm developing quite the gorilla-tum!

It's not just the normal little line, but I seem to be developing a 'coat' (for want of a better word) of dark hair across the whole of my tummy... Have read a few wive's tales about this signifying a higher level of testosterone in your body and pointing towards a boy...

Any truth in this do you think? Anyone else had this?

I didn't notice more in my boy pregnancies so not true for me, but I think getting more hair in pregnancy is normal generally - I always find I get hairier legs! Maybe yours just shows more because you're dark haired? Even though my head hair is darker brown my body hair is quite fair so doesn't really show much. Who knows though!

It could be that? I'm quite fair skinned and body hair is generally near-black, so it would show more, but I never had it with Charli (or other pregnancies) which has made me wonder about it a little!

Maybe I'm just trying to find signs of a boy!

It's so hard not to look for 'signs' when you're waiting to find out, I think. And you then end up perpetuating the old wives' tales etc. if they fit, even though there's a 50/50 chance anyway!

Saying that, this pregnancy (in the early days at least) was much more like my pregnancy with Felix than with Iris!

I really feel like it's a boy, and this pregnancy has been the complete stark opposite to Charli... Still waiting on scan date, but should be approx. 5 weeks!

Ahh hun, how true it is I don't no. I was hairier while preg with Ace. I can't rem with Jack. Sorry not much help. x

Think my hair grew thicker with the boys and I lost more with alexa. But apart from that my pregnancies were similar.

Well my hair has stopped falling out (I have a lot of hairloss generally) and looks a lot healthier, and body hair seems to be growing at a scary rate

I've never had the hairy belly before though! lol
