Advice needed regarding physical and mental abuse

#1 Unread post by weezypops » Fri Aug 01, 2014 4:07 pm

Hi all, one of the members of the Essex Mums facebook group asked me to post this anonymously. Does anyone have any advice?
My mum is currently being physically an mentally abused she is currently in a mental health hospital but her partner is a mental health nurse but not in the one she is. The hospital dont want to know as he has a 'nhs badge'. Is there any way of me keeping him away even though she doesnt realise what hes doing to her? Or does she have to be able to help herself?

I really don't know much about this sort of thing but would Social Services not be able to help.

Hi, the mental health hospital where she is has a duty of care towards her as she is under their care. So the family may have to report the hospital to CQC as a SOVA incident as they have turned to her relevant health care professionals and they have not helped. She can ring them herself, or her daughter can on her behalf due to her mental health issues. Her family can act as her advocate. Fingers crossed. X
