Ovulation Strips

#1 Unread post by XxJack~AcexX » Tue Nov 02, 2010 2:52 pm

Hey ya lovelys.

Maybe im having an off day but ive been really thinking about this?!

As some of you no Dom and I originally started trying again about 2 years ago. Have been through the doc and hospital and everything came back ok.

I came to terms with maybe it wasnt going to happen again and have accepted it.
Have any of you used ovulation strips, any good?

I really dont no what to do. Wether I want to go through all this again but use the strips this time as before now havent had any probs conceiving and have had 3 pregnancys but thankfully have Jack :D

Im so greatful for him i no.
I no im not old but im going to be 27 in January and if its going to happen would like more before im 30, but if Jacks going to be our only child then thats fine.

Any thoughts would be apreciative. Just having a bit of a downer I think. x

Aww gemma I know how you feel. We tried with alexa and bob and after so long thought we weren't having anymore and got used to it although was always at the back of my mind.

I have used ovulation strips before and yes they are pretty spot on but you need to make sure you don't rule your life around them or it takes all the enjoyment out. Iykwim.

If your thinking about ttc then start getting your body ready with folic acid etc. They snide it's taken prior to conception now too. Personally I would just go for it. Maybe do the whole not trying approach but if it happens and then there's less stress and anxiousness.

(also tmi I know but try different positions etc. I know exactly where I concieved each of mine and it was in the same position in the same area too. Lol).

Im not worried about tmi huni lol
I no exactly how Jack was conceived too and my last preg
Honestly huni??!! We havent stopped not trying, even while I was having the hosp apps etc.. We thought if it happens it happens... and it still hasnt. Then I got in my head that okay its not going to happen but we havent been careful. So I thought maybe I should buy those strips and see if that helps.
I just dont get it. We have never had probs in the past!!!! :(
I thought to myself, okay its not going to happen and enjoy it as the months go on. Something just occured to me lately that maybe if we do want more it should be soon.
I dont no what im trying to say but you no what I mean.

I no Doms parents would love another grandchild, its not the reason obviously but they are in their 60's now. x

I used the strips with Brandon. Just the cheap ones off ebay which are like the pregnancy strips they use in hospitals. I conceived first month using them.
I have 25 of them that i used my ebay account to buy for a friend, but her circumstances changed before she collected them from me so i am left with them going to waste so you are more than welcome to take them off my hands if you want. I think they say to use them for the middle 2 weeks of your cycle so you have 2 months worth there, or 1 month if you want to use everyday to make sure. I dont want any money for them. They expire in January so need to be used soon and im not planning on anymore lol. You could give them a try and see if something right for you, if not, you havent wasted any money.

Just PM your address if you want them and i will be them posted tomorrow whilst i am out x
