Slow start...EM BABY DUST NEEDED!!!!

#1 Unread post by Schmushe » Wed Aug 26, 2009 11:31 pm

I went to the drs today to try and get some help as not able to concieve after nearly a year, now my pcos doesnt help matters so sometimes I need medical intervention.
She has asked me to have bloods done, and being referred to the hospital to see the 'hormone' dr. In the meantime I have to lose some weight so on a 'contreversial' pill which has bad side effects but works quickly, and on Metformin which should help regulate my periods etc..
I have also got high blood pressure which shes concerned about, so got to go back in 2 weeks to have it re-tested.
The plan of action is, depending on what the bloods say, I might need a pill called Clomid, which has a high risk of multiple pregnancy  ! SO am reluctant to try it, but will see if it becomes our last resort.
I was told I would need medical intervention in all my pregnancies but that hasnt been the case - Josh was naturally concieved, Alexa was witht he use of Metformin, #3 was concieved naturally and now am struggling again!
She did say it was possible I am menopausal, but will have to wait for the bloods to come back before she will know for sure!

So watch this space!!!

I know a few people who had Clomid and didn't come out with twins so don't panic just yet Michelle! However it can be pretty hard on you emotionally I think. Someone I know had panic attacks, anxiety and quite severe depression linked to it.

Ahh huni good luck with it all, i hope it all works out for you darl. Will be thinking of you.

We have had to put the baby trying on hold for the time being as ive been given some tabs to help the way ive been feeling. My body still isnt right from 18 months ago. Technically we had been trying on and off for just under a year so im hoping with these antidepressants i will start to feel more myself and help balance my hormones.

I no how hard it is to want another and for things not to happen, i really wish you lots of luck huns, and fingers crossed for that magic to happen soon. Take care huns. x x
