Loneliness of mums hits the headlines today

#1 Unread post by Care at Home » Tue Aug 25, 2015 6:39 pm

It seems loneliness is at very high levels throughout society. But today, Radio 4 actually discussed loneliness in mothers specifically. I'm surprised there hasn't been more of a response on here to that. I am involved more in redressing loneliness in older people but I would be interested in hearing from forum members what is being done about loneliness for mothers, and what the barriers are to doing more.

Motherhood no doubt is a very pleasant thing to happen. With the baby by your side how can anyone feel lonely? I am sure you can do many things when your kid is sleeping. Keep yourself engaged and drive away loneliness.
