Clicking sound coming from stomach

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone else has heard a clicking sound coming from their 'stomach' area? I'm 30 weeks and for the last 2 days have heard a kind of clicking/ popping noise when the baby is moving about a lot. Does anyone have any idea what this might be?? It's a bit worrying!

Do you think bubs could be running out of room in there. I too am 30 weeks gone and Ive noticed that he is moving about lots and really making things painful at times ahh.

Interesting! I have heard women say they heard their waters popwhenthey break, but this clearly isnt what is happening for you. I wonder of it is digestive / bubbles of wind etc travelling along...you are getting to the stage where thi gs are getting a bit squashed in there, so could be this loud digestive gurgling! Otherwise, and without seeing you face to face, I have no idea I'm afraid! Baby is moving well, and you don't say that you are experiencing any other symptoms / pain or bleeding, so that's all good. Ask your midwife at your next appt (or see her earlier if you remain anxious) and let u's know what she thinks! Xx

Hun do you think it sounds like bubs moving but with lil room left?
I could??!! say that that I feel similiar but it may well be differnet. When do you see your midwife next darl? x

I had SPD in my pregnancy and I regularly heard (and felt!!) it clicking and cracking when i moved. Is it actually from the tummy or the hips/pelvis area?

It's quite bizarre! I heard it again today. It's only happened when I've been sitting really still & he's been moving about all over the place (doing a LOT of wriggling!) It seems to come from slightly different places in my stomach - depending on the area he's kicking. It sounds like someone 'clicking' or a slight kind of popping/ watery sound. My partner heard it & thought it sounded like I was typing on my computer.
I guess it could be baby kicking against something else inside me which is making a weird noise?? He does seem to have run out of room so maybe that's it? Very odd though!
I'm meeting my midwife for the 1st time at the weekend so I'll ask her then. I've not had any pains or any other symptoms so I'm hoping it's nothing to worry about.

Its funny you should say that as ive had that a couple of times (im 32 weeks pregnant) & if ive had someone with me i've said 'did you hear that?' but when they've said no i thought maybe its just me.

It will be interesting to see what she says x

After overcoming my fear of sounding a little crazy I asked my midwife about the noises..... and she said that although it is bizarre (!) babies are so close to the surface of the skin that women can often feel and hear lots of strange things. So as long as baby is moving about & I'm not leaking any water then it's perfectly fine.

Must just be baby getting ready for lots of activity once he arrives! x

I'm just over 32 weeks now so not too much longer left. I've just been hearing the noises again, it's so strange! I think I've got quite a lot of fluid so maybe he's just swimming about?! x
