movements

#1 Unread post by Millie_loves_Luca » Fri May 06, 2011 11:14 am

Hi,

Im a bit concerned about babys movements. Im still getting 10 movements a day, but they are lighter, and more fluttery. i think the head is down as i keep feeling a lot of pressure very low down, not sure if that is the reason. When millie came into my bed this morning for a snuggle I could feel baby moving against her, its just fainter, and I dont see my tummy move any more.

I know its probably nothing and I dont want to call the ward for no reason. Thank you!! xx

helena - i agree with gina! it's not going to do any harm. especially as your blood pressure was also very low today! mention that too!

Yeah, I'd say call. It's probably fine but you can't be too careful.

Phone the ward now. Probably just baby in a new position, but has obviously given you cause for concern. Always best to get it checked out straight away.

Hi,

I did call them, the lady just said to monitor movements and make sure Im getting 10, which I am, it just feels different. But as long as Im getting the 10 I dont need to go in.

I had quite a lot last nite, but not so much today, but will keep an eye. Thank you so much for your advice! xx

Even if you get to ten, but are still worried, call again - it is always worth getting reassurance and that is, after all, what we have a 24 hour 365 days a year midwifery service for!
Glad to hear youve had some more now though xx

Thank you, baby has been quiet today, but I do have my 32 week scan tomorrow anyway, so hopefully that will be reassuring. x

It was to see if placenta is still low, which it isnt, yay! But baby is breech, so am going to ring for acupunture as thats meant to help, even tho I felt really ill last time I went! Am still hoping for a natural birth if I can. xx

Plenty of time for babes to move! Lots of walking will help and acupuncture has great success rates, though usually closer to due date (34-36 weeks). They burn moxa by your little toe! Reflexology works on a similar point to encourage breech babies to turn too. Good luck! Xx
