Support needed in October please

I know its early days - but I really am going to need your support in October

Please pass this on to as many people as possible and get the word out!!!

Little Acorns is going to have a fundraising box in Waitrose (Southend) from the end of September till the end of October - so PLEASE can you put your green tokens in our box when you shop or get petrol.

Oooh - Congratulations for getting accepted! When/how did you find out? We still haven't heard about whether or not we have been accepted

We are always jammy and get given 2 or 3 tokens every visit!

Found out literally a few minutes ago, aparently October they are focusing on support groups which is why we'd been chosen. We're going up against a Brain tumour group, and the PSP association. (not the game console).

Well if you can send them our way we'd be most appreciative!! I dont know how much each one is equivalent to but its more than we have now..

I THINK it works by - they have £1000 each month and they weigh the tokens - and divide the money up depending on who has the most. If that makes sense? SO if all three charities have the same amount then you will all get £333.33 IYKWIM?

Just to re-remind everyone to PLEASE shop in Waitrose / get petrol from there if possible (its cheaper than Tesco), and put your little green token in the box for Little Acorns!!

All we raise will fund new crockery / cups for the family room. SO we need as much as possible!!

Oooh, forgot they do petrol too, I need to get some now but will make do with just a top up for now so I can go fill up properly in October. Does it start on the 1st?

Ive just been and they havent got the boxes in the petrol stations yet - they might not come out officially till the 1st?? Will go again tomorrow and friday to see

It goes LIVE tomorrow people!! and finishes on the last day of October!!

It is NOT petrol - people were stealing the green tokens so they stopped doing them for the petrol station :-(
Any purchase you make you are entitled to a token, so even if it is a 20p purchase you should still get one. You dont have to of had your own bags - it literally is one green token per purchase!

The tokens will be weighed at the end of the month and £1000 will be split accordingly to the weight of each and I find out on the 2nd November if we get any and how much it will be.
